MELBOURNE, FL – May 30, 2025 – Love In the Name of Christ (Love INC) of Brevard is honored to announce the creation of The Karen Fund—a grant award of $100,000 dedicated to strengthening Love INC’s ability to serve individuals and families in crisis across Brevard County. This generous grant will enhance Love INC’s ability to respond with compassion and care, providing emergency relief and life-stabilizing resources to clients in transformation as they face challenging circumstances.
The fund is named in loving memory of Karen Robinson, a woman whose life was a testimony of quiet strength and unwavering resilience. A single mother, tireless provider, and faithful friend, Karen knew hardship intimately—but never let it define her spirit. She faced challenges that many endure in silence: an unsteady personal relationship, the painful closing of a business, and the daily demands of keeping a home running with more needs than resources. Yet, she pressed forward, determined to give her children not only what they needed, but a life filled with hope and possibility.
Sadly, Karen passed away in 2024, but her legacy continues through this fund that bears her name. As a tribute to her life and an extension of her heart, The Karen Fund will serve clients walking through similar seasons of struggle, offering the same kind of compassion and provision that defined Karen’s life.
“Karen’s story is sacred to us,” said Kristy Stuart, Executive Director of Love INC of Brevard. “In hearing her story, her strength was quiet, but her impact was profound. Through this fund, we have the opportunity to honor her by standing alongside others in their time of need, just as she did for so many. Her life was a light—and now, that light will continue to shine through the work of Love INC.”
Her favorite verse, “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still” (Exodus 14:14), carried her through every storm. Now, it anchors a fund that will offer help and hope to others walking hard roads—reminding them, as Karen did, that they are seen, supported, and deeply loved.
