July Volunteer of the Month, Anne B.

Anne is truly a remarkable volunteer with a heart full of service. She joined our Life Curricula team from the very beginning in February 2023, eager to make a difference. Initially, Anne volunteered to serve in Childcare during our inaugural semester, drawing on her experience as a VPK teacher for Special Needs children with Brevard County Public Schools.

However, when it turned out we didn’t have any children to care for, Anne didn’t hesitate for a moment. She simply said, “I’m happy to serve wherever you need me,” and seamlessly transitioned to serving as an Ally—a special kind of mentor—for our participants. This flexibility and willingness to serve wherever needed truly capture Anne’s spirit!

Anne and her family reside in Palm Bay and are active members of Bay West Church. Since that first semester, Anne has continued to serve as both an Ally and Childcare volunteer in every class we offer, always with a joyful smile on her face.
