Volunteer Anna Fetterman Nominated for Local Hero Award

Anna has been a dedicated volunteer with Love INC Brevard for over a decade, demonstrating exceptional commitment, compassion, and leadership. Her contributions have profoundly impacted countless lives, and her unwavering dedication to serving others makes her a deserving candidate of the 2024 Hero Award.

Dedication and Service: Anna has been instrumental in developing, teaching, and training countless other leaders in our Budgeting class, a crucial component of our mission to empower individuals and families towards financial stability. For nearly 10 years, her expertise and patient teaching style have equipped many with the skills needed to manage their finances effectively. Additionally, Anna has taught our Affirming Potential course, inspiring participants to recognize and reach their fullest potential.

Community Leadership: Beyond her work with Love INC, Anna leads a women’s group at her church, providing spiritual guidance and support. Her home serves as a sanctuary for those in need, always open to anyone seeking comfort, counsel, or companionship. Anna’s hospitality and willingness to help others are testament to her selfless nature, as she often opens her home to house those in need for extended periods of time.

Mentorship and Counseling: Anna’s role extends beyond teaching; she is also a mentor and counselor. Since 2022, she has conducted an astounding 517 one-on-one discipleship sessions with clients, offering personalized guidance and support. Her impact is felt deeply by those she mentors, both within our organization and her church community.

Skill Sharing and Empowerment: Anna’s passion for sewing is another avenue through which she empowers others. She has taught many young girls this valuable skill, fostering creativity and confidence in the next generation. Her ability to share her talents so generously is a true reflection of her nurturing spirit. Additionally, she has taught swimming lessons to children for 52 years.

Anna Fetterman embodies the spirit of the Hero Award through her tireless service, leadership, and dedication to the betterment of others. Her contributions to Love INC Brevard and the broader community are immeasurable. In the 11 years of service at Love INC she has volunteered approximately 6,336 hours.

 Anna’s compassion, mentorship, and open-heartedness make her not only a hero in our eyes but also in the lives of all those she has touched. We are confident that her story of service and impact will inspire others to follow in her footsteps.
