Janie McDermott

Board Member

Janie McDermott joined the Love INC Board in February 2020. She is originally from Tacoma, WA, and moved to Brevard County in 2004. She graduated from Central Washington University with a BS in Accounting and later earned her master’s degree in human resources management. Janie worked for Johnson Controls World Services for 10 years in human resources and then took 10 years to focus on being a mom to her 2 children, Zach and Malia. She has been serving as the Vice President of Human Resources for BRPH for the past 8 years. Janie was an active member of the Church at Viera for 14 years and served in the children’s ministry, personnel committee, and as a servant leader, prior to her move to Melbourne Beach with her husband of 30 years, Marc. They enjoy spending time with their children, traveling, playing tennis, pickleball, kayaking, biking, and beach walks.
