Hello Ministry Friends,

Join us in prayer was we mourn the recent loss of our dear friend, John Blevins,
co-laborer in the ministry as he was our volunteer service project leader and the husband to our Clearinghouse Coordinator, Janet Blevins. Our hearts are broken as it was a short 3 months from cancer diagnosis to his final home with our heavenly father. He will forever be remembered as a kind soul with a heart for relationships and the lost.

Featured Client: A new client who is elderly, disabled, and single was referred to us for home repair. Due to her health, she had not left her home in over a year until we offered her a personal care pantry voucher to offset her expenses. She came to the pantry to redeem it — what an amazing step forward for her! Plus, we were able to encourage and pray for her in person. Next steps in our relationship with her is to offer mental health counseling and budget mentoring, evaluate and organize needed home repairs, and encourage her to re-connect with her church. In the meantime, she is starting to serve in the thrift store to earn her portion of her home repair costs while building community with the volunteers she’s working alongside. Together we are praying for a stationary bike to come into the thrift store, so she may purchase it and use it to build her physical strength. This is wonderful example of how together we offer HOPE (that things can get better through Christ), HELP (with material needs), and a HAND-UP (through dignified opportunities to engage in solutions) — together we can restore and so much more! We praise God for your support in this woman’s journey to sustainability, health, and freedom in Christ.
