Atha Comiskey

Atha worked in various Administrative positions for the past 30+ years. For the past 20 years, she worked as Office Manager in her husband’s business and as Executive Director for a non-profit.

She and her husband, Bart, moved to Merritt Island from Nashville, TN in 2014. He had been diagnosed
with aggressive prostate cancer, so they moved here to be near MD Anderson in Orlando. Bart passed away in 2016, 4 months after their 20th anniversary.

She then moved back to Nashville to care for her sister who had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. After 2 years her sister moved into a facility and Atha moved back to the Space Coast, Melbourne, where she hopes to spend the rest of my life.

Atha’s favorite Bible passage is Jeremiah 29:11. “For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Young or old, God has a plan for each of us. Past disasters that we brought on ourselves, and those heartbreaks others have caused, can not undo the fact that God has wonderful plans for us. If we trust in Him and give our life to Him, He will give us a future and a hope! How exciting!
