Ministry Update – May, 2018
Hello Ministry Friends,
We are happy to announce that we are again able to accept community referrals. The past several years we have only accepted client referrals from our ministry partners, but we now invite the community to refer people in need to Love INC. Our desire is to offer hope, help, and a hand-up to those looking for freedom and lasting change. Those seeking assistance can simply call our office during normal business hours* to get the process started.
If you or someone you know would like to partner with Love INC to serve local people in need, please contact Denyse Olson at
firstname.lastname@example.org or call 321.253.9542, Ext. 300.
Upcoming Events: Join us for a great worship service and Love INC update at Grace Church Melbourne on May 27, services at 9:30 and 11:00 am (Grace meets at Cinemaworld West Melbourne 16, located at 4345 W. New Haven Ave, West Melbourne, FL 32904).
Featured Client: This year we identified that we are reaching two underserved Brevard County populations: single women between the ages of 45-65 who are newly single, have either aged out of the workforce or are underemployed, and elderly people in great need that usually are alone and disabled. John**, our featured client this month, is one of these people. He is a single, elderly man whose son called in from out of state desperately looking for help for his father. John is completely home bound from 8 back surgeries due to injuries resulting from a very bad car accident. His home sustained damage from the last hurricane and he was denied FEMA assistance twice. While in rehab after one of his surgeries, vandals broke into John’s home and spray painted graffiti all over the inside walls, stole fixtures out of both bathrooms, ripped screens, broke windows, shot holes in walls, and damaged all his furniture. We arranged for a volunteer group from Covenant Church to clean the house and visit with John. When they asked what they could do that day to lift his spirits, John replied he would like flower beds outside. You can see in the picture above, Covenant Church blessed John and fulfilled his wish. When he saw it, John cried andsaid, “Now I don’t have to be ashamed of what my neighbors think”, and he stated he felt like angels had swooped down from heaven to help him. Auger Plumbing, one of our business partners, fixed the plumbing issues so John can take a shower at home again. Covenant Church will be going back to paint over the graffiti and are advocating for him with FEMA. John is a Coptic Christian and, at his request, we have a priest going out to visit with him for spiritual support. This is a fantastic example of God’s people coming together to love someone In the Name of Christ!
Thank you, our supporters, because none of this would be possible without your support. We love and appreciate you!God Bless you!
